Beginner 1A Summer Intensive

1, 8, 15, 22 July

Wednesdays 18:30 am–20:30 pm

Have you completed Beginner 1A but feel you need more speaking practice? This 4-week

intensive course is designed for students who want to review basic 1A grammar and build

practical conversation skills before moving on to 1B. In a friendly and supportive

environment, we practise everyday dialogues directly connected to your textbook.

What you will learn:

Introduce yourself with confidence — nationality, occupation, and daily habits using basic polite endings (-아요/어요/해요).
Talk about locations & weather — ask for destinations, describe your neighbourhood, and share simple thoughts about weather and seasons.
Buy items & ask for prices — ask "얼마예요?" and count items using Sino and Native Korean numbers.
Make and adjust plans — make simple appointments, propose specific times, and suggest alternatives when friends are busy.

WEEKLY CURRICULUM (Sejong 1A — speaking focus):

Week 1 — 1 July | Introductions & Daily Habits

Grammar: N은/는 N이에요/예요; N이/가 아니에요; V-아요/어요/해요

Speaking: Introducing yourself (nationality, job, hobbies); talking about daily routines

Week 2 — 8 July | Locations & Weather

Grammar: N에 가다; N에 있다/없다; 안 + A/V

Speaking: Asking for locations/destinations; describing your neighbourhood; weather & seasons

Week 3 — 15 July | Shopping & Asking for Prices

Grammar: N하고 N; counters (단위 명사); N을/를; V-(으)세요

Speaking: Buying items, asking prices, using correct counters with Sino & Native numbers

Week 4 — 22 July | Making & Adjusting Plans

Grammar: time particle 에; N은/는 어때요?

Speaking: Asking/answering about time & dates; proposing and adjusting plans with a friend

Course duration: 4 weeks
