Beginner 1B Summer Revision
Saturdays — 4, 11, 18, 25 July
Time: 3:00–5:00 pm
The Beginner 1B Summer Revision Course is an intensive 4-week programme designed for
learners who have completed the Beginner 1B course at the London Sejong Institute in
Richmond, or who possess an equivalent level. This course focuses heavily on two core
pillars: solidifying complex grammar structures and boosting practical speaking
confidence. It provides a great opportunity to review essential vocabulary, expressions,
and grammar used in everyday life, while also offering insights into Korean society and
culture. During the live online sessions, students will dive directly into grammar
patterns and immediately apply them through dynamic, speaking-focused communicative activities. This course is ideal for learners who have completed the Beginner 1B course and want to brush up on their skills, bridge the gap to the next level, and turn passive
knowledge into fluent speech.
This course aims to deepen students' understanding of complex Korean grammar patterns
and significantly boost their practical speaking skills. The primary objective is to help
learners effectively master essential grammar structures and immediately apply them
through interactive, speaking-focused activities. By focusing heavily on these two core
areas, the course enables students to use Korean with greater clarity and confidence in
everyday life and familiar social contexts.
What you will learn:
• Share plans & past experiences: talk about past weekend activities and share future
plans or routines.
• Talk about family: introduce family members and converse using appropriate polite
expressions.
• Make suggestions & arrangements: suggest plans to friends, express personal wishes, and
talk about seasonal activities.
• Handle everyday situations: explain reasons for their actions, describe items (e.g.
colours) while shopping, and express personal limitations (what they can or cannot do).
